Points Addict

I have been wondering this for a long time now… I am all for getting miles however possible but I have deliberately avoided the whole idea of getting them for “free” under circumstances other than how promotions were intended. For example,  I have not tried to fund accounts with a credit card or buy coins from the mint in order to get miles that way.  I am wondering though if my reluctance in this regard is warranted or if I am overthinking this a bit too much.  Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I have been a long time reader of blogs written by others but I have never actually thought about starting one of my own until now.  As you can tell from the title, I love to travel but as a recent grad, I do not have a ton of money to do so.  Thus my attraction to points and miles to be able to travel for less.  Hopefully along the way I may be able to help out some people as I was helped myself by others.
